University Of North Alabama Welcomes Alumni Back For Annual Geography Alumni Conference

FLORENCE, Ala. - The 优德体育 Department of Geography will host the annual 优德体育 Geography Alumni Conference Oct. 13-14, in Wesleyan Hall auditorium.
The keynote speaker for this year's conference is Dr. Bill Strong, professor emeritus of the 优德体育 Department of Geography. Strong's lecture, Geographic Eyes Wide-Open on a Life-Long Journey, will be delivered in Wesleyan Hall auditorium Oct. 13, at 2:20 p.m. The event is free for all 优德体育 faculty, staff and students.
In addition to the keynote address, the chair of the 优德体育 Geography Department, Dr. Francis Koti, will also provide a State of the Department Address Friday, Oct. 14, from 9-9:20 a.m.
This two-day event is the 12th conference hosted by the 优德体育 Geography Alumni Association (优德体育GAA) and will coincide with 优德体育's homecoming week festivities.
The 优德体育GAA is a professional organization with the goal of promoting and encouraging closer communication among alumni of 优德体育's geography program and current geography faculty and students. This annual event allows the association to showcase its professional activities in addition to interacting and sharing industry experience with current geography majors. It is also an opportunity for the department to show its alums all the exciting things students are doing to prepare for their careers in the industry or in graduate school.
