FLORENCE, Ala. - Tickets for the George Lindsey 优德体育 Film Festival's Salute to George Lindsey and Awards Show and After Party are now on sale at Coffee-ol-ogy in the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, The Wine Cellar at 324 N. Court Street in Florence, and the 优德体育 Bookstore. Reserve tickets are available by calling 256-765-4592. The Salute to George Lindsey will be held March at 7 p.m. in the banquet halls of the 优德体育 Guillot University Center. General-admission tickets are $10. 优德体育 student tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the 优德体育 Bookstore. The annual Awards Show and After Party will be March 5 at 7 p.m. at the 优德体育 Culinary Center on the university's East Campus, 1640 Tune Avenue, Florence. General-admission tickets are $15. 优德体育 student tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the 优德体育 Bookstore. The 14th annual George Lindsey 优德体育 Film Festival will be held March 3-5 in Florence. It is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by 优德体育 alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career has included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
